As an Ivy League-trained therapist and eating disorder specialist, I spent years working with women to heal their relationships with food, fitness, and body image. And having personally navigated the challenges of body image issues and recovery from an eating disorder, I know firsthand how tough this journey can be.
I now dedicate my work to helping women create the life they love by exploring a variety of topics and offering practical tools, guidance, and support as a coach, teacher, and mentor.
My approach combines my clinical expertise with personal insight, empowering my clients to heal from the inside out and embrace a life of balance, confidence, and well-being. I'm so glad you're here xx
why this approach works
During my own journey to body love, I found myself frustrated by the messages about fitness & body image.
On the one hand, you had the health & fitness world, which focused on achieving a certain appearance (often using unhealthy & extreme methods to get there).
And on the other hand, you had the emerging Body Positivity & HAES movements preaching love for your body while judging those who loved fitness & often labeling them as disordered.
It felt like either way I couldn't win.
Either I succumbed to the fitness world's often disordered, appearance-focused approach or I rejected fitness altogether to avoid the judgment of loving exercise & to somehow “prove” that I loved my body as it was
So, I set out to find a middle ground.
I wanted to find a way where I could have a positive & genuinely healthy relationship with fitness while not focusing on aesthetics and perpetuating negative body image in the process.
I wanted to find joy in moving my body and use that to enhance my body image, rather than use it as a means to achieve a specific look.
After years of research and trial-and-error, I learned how to do just that.
In this one-hour workshop, I'll save you years of trial-and-error and all that $$$ spent on different diets, fitness apps, and random programs, not to mention the heartache of feeling caught between two worlds like I did.
It's time that you reclaim fitness for what it is; an opportunity to support your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. And something that will support your relationship with your body instead of destroy it.
I can't wait for you to experience the change for yourself!
